Designation: Planning Engineer

Experience:3 to 6 Years

Job Description

·         Planning, Scheduling and Controlling of the whole project.
·         To organize and supervise the activities and work of Area and Central Planners to ensure that all work within the planning section is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
·         To prepare scope of work, coordinate, plan, technical review & evaluation of major projects based upon special assignments.
·         To ensure that all resources for planned activities are available on time and the relevant data is reported in maximo. To monitor the progress of all maintenance daily activities and issue various reports to monitor compliances and ensure that maintenance related KPIs are successfully met.
·         To meet the objectives managed by senior management. 
·         Prepare schedules and reports for Management and clients on the revision to all scope. 
·         Responsible for Client Dealing, Site inspection. 
·         Verify Purchase requisition, Estimations and Schedules 
·         Technical Overviews, Supervision of Construction Work, 
·         To participate in developing alternative ideas to improve the existing Pipeline project coordination procedures and services, and provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of current practices taking into account 'best practice', international standards.

We are having an urgent requirement with one of our MNC (Product Development Company) Client for the post Software Tester (Manual Testing + Unix)

Position:  Senior Software Tester

Location : Info Park, Cochin, Kerala

Experience: 5-9 years
  
Roles and Responsibilities:
·             Should have good exposure to manual testing.
·             At least 2 year experience in  Unix platform.
·             Write and execute SQL queries to interpret test results and create test data.
·             Conduct performance and scalability tests when applicable.
·             Follow test team record keeping – defect tracking, internal status reporting, etc.
·             Participate in meetings between test team and applicable development team members to identify and resolve defects identified by the test team.
·             Participate in presentations as needed to cover project status and test plan.
·             Anticipate and plan for the needs of the test team with regard t0 testing space, testing environment (including equipment, system/access permissions, test data, etc.), and test tools.
·             Proactively identify to the management team risks to the project; recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
·             Maybe required to coordinate end-user support during acceptance testing.
·             Perform detailed data analysis as required.
·             Monitor jobs in production for errors and issues and inform team members and managers of the same.
·             Resolve production support tickets within SLAs.
·             Conduct root cause analysis on tickets, issues and requests.
·             Track effort on tickets and update productions support management tool with ticket information on timely basis.
·             Coordinate, communicate and brainstorm complex issues with onshore and offshore teams.
·             Provide on-call support during off-hours or weekends, when needed on a rotational schedule. 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements :
·             Ability to convert business requirements into test scenarios and test cases.
·             Experience with UNIX scripting.
·             Strong analytical skills.
·             Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·             Good Team Management Skills
·             Sound judgment and experience in working in production environment.

Candidate Profile
Roles:
• Decide which frameworks, component libraries, and utilities should be used on the project
• Decide on communication protocols to be used for communication with database and other tier
• Enhance the application protocols if needed
• Decide how to modularize the application
• Arrange for the unit, functional, and stress tests
• Make decisions on application security issues, such as how to integrate with authentication/authorization mechanisms

Responsibilities
• Ownership and hands-on work associated with task planning including scope definition, requirements, effort estimation, risk management, test case definition and skills requirements.
• Coordinate interaction between the RIA team and the server-side development
• Promote the use of coding best practices and perform code reviews
• Conduct technical job interviews and give recommendations on hiring server side developers

Knowledge and Skill Set / Competencies

• Very strong experience in Java and J2EE development for data access layers
• Experience with JSP, HTML, XML, JavaScript and AJAX.
• Good knowledge of SQL and working experience with different databases systems. E.g.: PostgreSQL, PL/SQL
• Good knowledge of testing Web-based applications in an enterprise environment using test tools/frameworks such as JUnit and Mock Objects.
Working time will be 3.00pm to 12.00am, Company will provide you dinner and cab.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements :
• The person should have ideally worked in a mid-large scale software product/program

• The person should have had past experience in designing solutions using concepts like
• OOAD/UML or other design approaches and writing code to meet the design considerations.
• The person should have experience working in mid/large scale software based products/projects in
• JAVA/J2EE/Linux technologies.
• He/She should have been exposed to a product/program development lifecycle and should have contributed as an individual/manager to a few/all of the cycles.

Job Description
• Re-creation, analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of incidents relating to off-the-shelf and proprietary applications and/or platforms.
• Determination of root cause of incidents (configuration vs. defect)
• Liaison with appropriate teams for the development of corrective actions or viable workarounds to resolve incidents
• Installation of applications in supported environments.
• Deployment of application upgrades and fixes
• Responding to automated alerts on the health of systems
• Executing scheduled or unscheduled tasks relating to operational maintenance and monitoring of applications
• Performing routine audits of systems for the purpose of preventative maintenance of applications and reporting on their status
• Adhere to E&Y and ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem and Change Management.
• Effective call management including logging, monitoring / updating, prioritising and resolving calls in a timely fashion.
• Ensures all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.

Skill Requirement
• In-depth knowledge of C#, ASP.NET
• In-depth knowledge of SQL2005/2008
• In-depth knowledge of Stored Procedures, SSIS and Data Transformation Services
• Creation of simple queries, running pre-defined scripts, configuration, security, and interpreting logs and traces.
• Demonstrable Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of web platforms such as IIS.
• Familiarity with SQL DBMS interface and integrated tools
• Ability to read and understand code (Code-competency) for diagnosis, escalation to tier 4 teams
• General understanding of networking/LAN/WAN/DMZ concepts
• Demonstrable knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 server O/S
• Knowledge of troubleshooting tools and techniques related to networks and systems i.e. remote access tools, Windows Support tools, connectivity tests, etc.
• Understanding of n-Tier application architecture concepts
• General understanding of various IT security concepts as they relate to production environments.

Job Description

Job Description
• Provide direction and leadership in system testing for more junior testing staff
• Document system test plans, system test cases, system test summary reports, etc. for complex ETL implementations
• Ability to manage more than one system test initiative at a time
• Analyze business and technical requirements in order to identify optimal test scenarios for ETL processes
• Perform source system data analysis
• Execute system test cases
• Perform data validation by creating, debugging and executing data validation scripts
• Perform product support on a need basis
• Proactively manage the system testing lifecycle and follow thru to ensure that defects are resolved in a timely manner
• Utilize Quality Center to manage the system test lifecycle
• Facilitate review meetings for system test artifact peer reviews, including documenting meeting minutes, action items, etc.
• 3+ years experience developing system test plans, system test cases, requirements traceability matrices and test data beds in an Oracle-centric data warehousing environment
• 3+ years experience writing SQL and PL-SQL for the purpose of data verification and validation
• 3+ year experience with Unix and shell scripting
• Strongly prefer 2+ years system testing using Informatica 8.6 ETL tool or other Enterprise-class ETL tool
• Strongly prefer 2+ years using Quality Center or other similar Enterprise-class system test management package
• Demonstrated proven experience in learning and applying newly acquired subject matter both from a business standpoint as well as a technical standpoint
• Superior data analysis skills with proven ability to perform root cause analysis to identify and document specific issues and defects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate directly with Arbitron US team; will require schedule flexibility to communicate off hours with Arbitron US team.

Responsibilities:
· Lead a team of engineers to onboard new clients to Visual IQ’s marketing analytics suite. This includes working with the clients (over email, phone, webex etc.) to understand and analyze their business and goals of the project.

· Lead the data collection process, develop ETL procedures, profile & analyze the data and produce reports to the client.

· Lead the data warehousing of all client’s data and make it ready for attribution, modelling and visualization.

· Continue to provide the lead to the team during production and enhancement projects

· Handle multiple clients at the same time

Knowledge and Skill Set / Competencies:

· Experience in leading teams for data warehousing projects.

· Experience and strong aptitude in consulting.

· Experience in integrating disparate data sets from heterogeneous environments.

· Quick to understand the data sets and how VisualIQ relate to client’s business.

· Excellent in understating the business, and modelling the data to meet the business needs.

· Excellent in data profiling, and being able to quickly find issues with data sets.

· Aptitude in writing technical documents and creating PowerPoint presentations

Desirable Skills/Competencies
· Experience with marketing and advertising eco system.

· Experience with data from DoubleClick, Atlas, Omniture, Google, Yahoo etc.

· Experience with customer data analytics. Knowledge about customer life time value (Customer LTV), RFM analysis (Recency, Frequency and Monitory value), NPV (net present value) etc.

· Experience with cookie data from ad servers and web log data from web analytic tools.

· Experience with Oracle OLAP, AWM, SQL Analyze, SQL Loader and very strong in PL/SQL.

· Exposure to data mining and algorithmic modelling. Familiar with SAS, R, Oracle Data Miner and other modelling tools.

· “Architect” level certifications in Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Sun, Java, etc.

· Certifications from Google, Yahoo, Microsoft-Advertising, Omniture, etc
