Associate Technical Manager (Java, J2EE)::US based Product Development Company: Kochi, Kerala

We are having an urgent requirement with one of our MNC (Product Development Company) Client for the post Associate Technical Manager

Location: Kochi, Kerala

Experience:8 to 12 Years

Roles and Responsibilities:


• Understand the business/technical needs/requirements and work towards optimal planning and scheduling of the deliverables.
• Work with global teams and manage project deliverables and inter-dependencies. Build good
• working relationship with the peers in the local and global teams.
• Manage and be responsible through the different phases of the project life cycle where different projects can be in different phases of the lifecycle
• Be in a position to assist engineers and specialists in the team by way of guiding on technical
• solutions/approaches and be willing to participate in design/code reviews
• Manage a team of engineers, specialists in the team with a typical size of 10-15, by way of objective/goal settings, appraisal reviews and career development.
• Build and Support a process driven culture supporting and enabling best practices and bring in culture of continuous improvement
• Inculcate good leadership qualities and develop a culture of mutual respect, consistent
• communication and risk taking attitude in self and in the team
• Support the Delivery Manager towards making a high quality, performance oriented teams,
• supporting a transparent and open culture.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements :
• The person should have ideally worked in a mid-large scale software product/program
• development with multiple release cycles with new/additional feature sets in a year.
• The person should have had past experience in designing solutions using concepts like
• OOAD/UML or other design approaches and writing code to meet the design considerations.
• The person should have experience working in mid/large scale software based products/projects in
• JAVA/J2EE/Linux technologies.
• He/She should have been exposed to a product/program development lifecycle and should have contributed as an individual/manager to a few/all of the cycles.
• An ideal candidate would be a person with around 8-12 years of technical experience with 2-5 yrs of direct or indirect people management responsibility
• Should be a BE/BTech from Computer Science or equivalent branches from a college of high
